This Lunar calendar poster really emphasises how information graphics can be done, the use of black and white is relevant to the subject and the different details within the calendar are easy to identify. Looking at how I am currently working with my project I think there are a number of ways in which I can apply this style of design to my work.

Another image which I again came across from informationisbeaitiful.net really caught my eye, the design is so simple yet puts the across the information so well, although I'm not convinced the colours work that well to together I still think it is a interesting piece of graphic design.

The information graphics above represent what I am hoping to achieve in terms of design. The idea of mapping is something that I am looking to do for my Collection 100 Project. The maps are easy to follow  and the information is presented in a clear and concise format.

Statistics about Twitter

Being a user of the online social networking site twitter I found this information quite interesting. The colours used are relevant as they are the colours most commonly associated with twitter. Also the use of the twitter logo within the graphics also works really well. A simple timeline easily helps to distribute the information. Also the way in which the information has been simplified into 100 could easily link to the current project "Collection 100" by gathering all the relevant data I have I could look at making that into 100.
