Always been a fan of high end magazines and it was the front cover of L.A magazine that really drew me in, the gold on black looks fantastic. The sophisticated layout really reflects the content in the magazine. Like the different use of type throughout the magazine too, think it works really well.

InDesign brief - Magazine layout - Grafik 185

Looking at existing Grafik magazine issues to have a look at the layout and looking through the content that I thought was relevant. One of the ideas I had was to make Charlie to be an up and coming artist or designer. Using the questions in Grafik as a starting point before coming up with other questions that are relevant as well. Waiting for the new issue of Grafik to be delivered so that I can see just how much the content and layout has changed.
